Kevin Patrick O'Reilly, CFP® is the principal of Foothills Financial Planning, Inc., a licensed Investment Advisory firm based in the Ahwatukee Foothills neighborhood of Phoenix, Arizona, with an office in Scottsdale. Kevin founded Foothills Financial Planning to provide individuals, families, and business owners with fee-only financial planning and investment management tailored to fit their individualized needs. His belief in the importance of providing financial planning services to everybody who needs them has led to a model that features hourly-based advice and no minimum asset or net worth requirements.

Kevin was born and raised in the Chicago area. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University, Kevin pursued a varied career in software development, technology management, and corporate finance prior to founding Foothills Financial Planning. Along the way, an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University helped round out Kevin's perspective and expertise in investment management. Kevin joined the Garrett Planning Network in 2008 while completing Boston University's financial planning certification program. He is now a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, and also holds the designation of CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR (CRPC®), indicating his education and expertise in the specialized field of retirement planning. He has also completed the Chartered Financial Analyst Level I exam.

During his technology career, Kevin created software for numerous financial services firms, both as a direct employee and as a consultant. These companies included Nuveen Investments, First Command Financial Services, Trustmark Insurance and Penson Financial Services.

In addition to providing financial literacy education to adults, Kevin serves on the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix, and is the Treasurer of the Phoenix chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association.

As parents to young triplets, Kevin and his wife are well-versed in the fine art of multi-tasking. Kevin is also very familiar with the unique financial challenges facing parents of multiples, and helping other such parents is a specific objective of Foothills Financial Planning. They have lived in the Ahwatukee Foothills for more than twelve years.
