Ron Lieber, the
Your Money columnist for the New York Times, has begun a new series to help individuals improve their financial standing. In the
first entry of the series,
Ron talks about why it makes sense to hire a financial planner. In
addition, he points out that using a fee-only planner is the way to go,
and suggests consulting NAPFA and the
Garrett Planning Network
if you’re trying to find an “honest planner”. Of course, this isn’t
news at Foothills Financial Planning, but it’s great advice nonetheless.
